You can enjoy Spotify music without ads on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, etc. Most of them are open-source programs, so feel free to use them. With any of these 5 methods, all the ads will be removed completely. I am not saying mute Spotify ads while playing. If you don’t want to get interrupted by an ad while enjoying music, here are 5 different methods to block Spotify ads. I was looking at it and did notice the number of blocked items increasing while the song was playing just before it crashed, if that means anything.Spotify free will play some ads between music playback every once in a while.

With dates that correspond to the Spotify crashes, but no additional info.Įdit: I just had it crash in the middle of a song, so I was wrong about that part. I've enabled logging in Chrome ("Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports"), and had it crash a few times today, but unfortunately I don't see any logs (from what I understand it's supposed to create a chrome_debug.log file).

For me I just go to Spotify, start a play list, and then leave Chrome alone. I *think* it only crashes at the end of a song (i.e., when an ad might play). You don't really notice it until it the music stops. Generally I only use Chrome to play Spotify and don't pay too much attention to it while it's running. Probably on average it crashes after about 30 minutes, though I'd say in some cases it's lasted for up to an hour.
